Having established a reputation as a world-class provider of animated content, the launch of Toonz’s Live Action wing was a natural progression for the Group. Live action productions such as Mostly Ghostly (distributed by Universal Studios and aired on Disney) and Magic Beyond Words (a story based on the life of J.K.Rowling) achieved major international success. Jamillah & Aladdin, co-produced with BBC, became one of the top-rated kids shows in UK. The feature has sold to broadcasters and platforms across the globe including ABC Australia, Amazon, Aljazeera, Clan, Showmax, SVT, NRK,  PBS Thailand.

Toonz Media Group’s live action and stop motion wing, the Emmy Award-winning Irish Studio, Telegael, provides extensive pre and post-production facilities as well as large live-action sound stages. Telegael also operates one of Europe’s leading stop motion studios.  

Established in 1988 and employing the services of up to 400 talent and entertainment professionals, Telegael is a leading co-producer and financier of both animated and live-action content for international broadcasters and streaming platforms including The Walt Disney Company, Netflix, Lionsgate, Amazon, NBC Universal, BBC, Discovery, Hulu, Cartoon Network, Super RTL, Nickelodeon, ABC Australia, ARD, and ZDF. Telegael has produced more than 1,100 hours of television, which have been distributed to over 150 territories and translated into over 50 languages.
