  • Description/Profile

    We are seeking experienced and passionate 3D & 2D Faculty members to join our educational vertical. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in character animation using Maya/Animate CC, and asset creation using Maya, effects animation etc. Prior production experience would be considered an added advantage. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in 3D and 2D animation, providing them with valuable skills and knowledge to excel in the field. This position requires a minimum of 4-5 years of teaching experience and excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions, and providing hands-on training in 3D and 2D animation.
    • Developing curriculum and course materials for both theoretical and practical classes.
    • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment, fostering student participation and encouraging creativity.
    • Evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
    • Mentoring and guiding students in their animation projects, including character animation and related techniques.
    • Staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements in 3D and 2D animation.
    • Providing constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
    • Collaborating with other faculty members and participating in departmental meetings and initiatives.
    • Assisting in the overall development and growth of the institution's training department.
    • Maintaining records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.

     

  • Eligibility / Experience
    • Graduation with a diploma in animation film making.
    • Strong proficiency in Maya software and modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting & character animation.
    • Prior production experience in the field of animation would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in teaching 3D and 2D animation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methodologies to suit different learning styles and skill levels.
    • Knowledge of other animation software and generalist skills in Maya would be beneficial.
    • Passion for the animation industry and a desire to inspire and educate the next generation of animators.

    Software skills: Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Z Brush, Substance Painter, Adobe Animate CC, After effects, Adobe Premiere.
