Incorporated Toonz with Mr. G A Menon, the Founder Chairman, Mr. Bill Dennis as CEO , Mr. Jayakumar as CFO, Mohan Subra as Creative Director and Cathy Peza as Studio Manager Initial operations from Park Center, Technopark.
1999
Formal inauguration of Toonz by His Highness Sree Padmanabhadasa Sree Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma, Maharaja of Travancore (1991–2013). Started operations from the North block of 7th Floor of Nila building, Technopark. Launched ‘Week with the Masters’. First batch of Animation Training started under Ajit Rao.
2000
Cartoon Network Asia became the first customer. The first project was 15 promos named ‘Get Tooned’ for Cartoon Network. First long form series ‘Turtle Island’ for Viva Vision in Canada started.
2002
Started Toonz Academy in Thiruvananthapuram. ‘The Adventures of Tenali Raman’ - India's 1st 2D episodic television series
2003
LAUNCHED TENALI RAMAN IN Partnership with Cartoon Network INDIA.
2004
Started Toonz Webel Academy in Kolkata. Started 3D division with 1st co-production ‘Finley the Fire Engine’ with Hallmark Entertainment, BBC and Isle of Man Film Fund.
2006
‘Wolverine and the X-Men’ - First end to end international production with Marvel Studios.
2007
‘Return of Hanuman’ - 1st theatrical with Percept Picture Company, Mumbai. ‘Dragonlance’ - First Hollywood studio co-production with Paramount Pictures based on the famous video game - Dungeons and Dragons.

‘Mostly Ghostly’ - 1st Live action movie with Universal studios
2011
‘Magic Beyond Words’ - 2nd Live action movie based on the biography of J.K. Rowling. The film won Canadian Screen Awards 2013 for Best Dramatic Mini-Series or TV Film.

Chotoonz – YouTube channel for Toonz started.

Acquired IMIRA Entertainment, Spain as the Distribution Division. Opened New Zealand Office Opened Turkey Office

Jamillah and Aladdin - 1st Live action Television series with Kindle Entertainment and BBC.

First co-production in digital with Google on Gummy Bear Fruit Ninja co-production with Halfbrick studios/YouTube.

Chotoonz received Gold Play button for Million subscribers. Started activities in China in partnership with Pacific Media Group

Toonz Media Group has announced to the global industry its acquisition of a majority stake in the large full-service Emmy winning production house Telegael
